Back in January I was originally going to write about Tommy Sheridan hitting rock bottom and appearing on prolefeed-contest
"Celebrity" Big Brother. Instead the bilge-circus centred around a non-entity has enraged me. I'll refrain from mentioning who this non-entity is, though it should be obvious given the saturation of the non-story.
Looking at the BBC News frontpage I saw a discussion about Patient 0's legacy. Let's look at this "legacy":
- gained 'fame' by appearing on wet t-shirt voyeurathon
- cemented 'celebrity' by appearing on version of said voyeurathon for people desperate to cling onto fame/preserve ego
- revealed themself to be a loud-mouthed bigot amongst other loud-mouthed bigots on same show
- became tabloid-fodder
- started dying
- became tabloid-darling
Do you know how many people died somewhere on the world because they couldn't get fresh water, and yet this untermensch is all anyone is thinking about? It's a putrid display of people's warped priorities. Did this person
cure cancer?
NO. And why bother.
Long live the new flesh.
